International Association of Infant Massage -
Sweden Infant Massage Instructor Certification Training is a 4-day
intensive which includes and in not limited to: the history of
infant massage and our organization, infant communication (cues and
reflexes), the benefits of infant massage, relevant research
findings, the critical importance of respectful touch & tactile
stimulation, practice and demonstration of knowledge & skill in
guiding parents & families in the practical application of infant
massage, adaptation of massage for special needs, facilitation of
healthy communication with & between parents and caregivers &
children (empowering parents), application of learned knowledge &
skills for use in group & private instruction, marketing & PR...and
more! Certification prepares and enables the student to guide
parents & caregivers on how to massage their children.
As a Certified Instructor, you would join the globally recognized
International
Association of Infant Massage - Sweden family of
thousands who teach in over 45 countries around the world. If you
seek Continuing Education Hours with NCBTMB or the California Board
of Registered Nurses, that is available. Other CE awards may be
available. Please inquire with your governing organization.
Once you are a Certified Instructor, you are eligible to conduct
your own parent/baby classes as an instructor; hence, possibly
pursuing a second career. Hospitals, pediatricians, OB-GYNs, Child
Life Specialists, Pediatric OTs and PTs, Lactation Consultants,
Childbirth Educators, Massage Birth Assistants, Doulas, Community
Centers & Programs (Churches, Women's Centers, Schools, DayCare
Centers, Non-Profits) Single Parents, Grandparents, Parents
w/Adopted Children, Teen Parents and Families and Children with
Special Needs are just a few of the populations and resources that
your certification will qualify you to with with.
Studies from Sweden have shown that massage reduces
abuse, aggression & violence among children and within
the family sructure. Studies with animals and touch

If this class does not suit your schedule, I am open
to teaching anywhere we have the population & space to
hold a class, nationwide or worldwide. I invite
you to help me organize such a
class in your area, and that effort would earn you a tuition
discount or full waiver. It's a lot of fun, and it
would help you develop your own plan in organizing your
parent/baby classes. If this is something you wish to
